26th June 2020

Dear parents/carers,

As you are aware, the school has been open throughout the Covid-19 epidemic for the children of key workers. Since June 8th, this has been in the school building at Riston. We currently have ‘bubbles’ of children that are working in school under the supervision of available staff. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to open up to more children, because of the need for social distancing according to government guidelines. I am sure you will understand that the safety of the children and staff is of the highest priority.

Consequently, the school will not re-open fully until September at the earliest, when we hope to welcome everyone back into their new year group. This is however, completely dependent upon future Government guidance.

All the staff have worked incredibly hard to ensure that no child has missed out, providing online learning but they are certainly looking forward to seeing the children again and starting afresh in September.

I am sure you understand that we are working in the best interests of all the children and on behalf of all the staff, I wish you all a happy and healthy summer break and look forward to seeing all the children back in school in September.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs V. Tippett

Head of School
