Riston C of E Primary Academy is a vibrant village school where children are enthusiastic and motivated to learn. The children are at the heart of every decision we make and, through an active school council, pupil voice contributes effectively to the decisions we make. Our Christian values are integral to all we do at school and we are proud of our vision of working with God to love, learn and grow.

Through our engaging curriculum, we ensure that children can foster a passion for learning and curiosity that will enable them to succeed and achieve their needs now and in the future. We work hard to ensure that the unique potential of every child is recognised and that they are supported effectively in their learning.

The school has a dedicated team that works hard to promote high standards in everything we do. We value our relationships with parents, the local community; our neighbouring schools and the Diocese of York. Together we all work effectively to ensure the very best for the children. We firmly believe that education is a partnership between home and school and regard parents as an active partner in their child’s education. We truly value the interest and support of our parents.
